New Home

Just to let you know that I am moving over to Wordpress. The site on the other side is still under construction, but it is working and usable. No Houdini acts as yet and even though I am missing my blinkies, I am sure there will be a way to get around it in Wordpress.

So, if you want to read some more about my ramblings, please jet on over to www.buddess.wordpress.com and pay my new home a visit. All forms of housewarming gifts will be accepted....hehehe

Revenge is mine. All MINE!!!!!

Remember about 2 months ago I wrote about Houseguest #3
well yesterday afternoon said Houseguest came into our local pub where we were busy playing pool. I was on the table(not ON the table, but playing at the time) and he challenged myself and my partner. We normally play doubles because there are so many people who play there. We(my partner and I) beat the two of them and then he(HG#3) decided to get arrogant and actually challenged my partner to a game of singles. My partner refused and said that I must play. I have not been in the best of moods lately(being a crab, I am prone to moodswings), but I thought that there is just no way that I will let this guy beat me. He stacked the balls and insisted that I play first, but seeing that he was challenging me, I said that I would give him the honour. Well, the pool gods must have been with me, because I gave him a whitewash!!!!! You don't know the term??? For those who don't know the game, each player has 7 balls on the table, either solid in colour or with stripes and the last ball is the black ball. Now a whitewash means that one player sinks all his balls and the black leaving his opponent with all seven of his balls still on the table. Let's just say that I have now had my revenge and I am closing my book on Houseguest #3. He sheepishly retreated to his pozzy across the street from the pub and was not seen again. Aaaahhhh Revenge is sweet!!!

Lost????

I am experiencing a very strange thing. My blog is pulling a Houdini on me. One minute I can see it and then "poof" it is gone. I have worked through all possible reasons as per Blogger Support instructions. I have even republished my entire blog several times, but still the phenomena continues.

I read on the blogger.com home page that they are in the process of blocking out spammers. Am I being seen as a spammer? Don't think so?

A number of my regular reads have moved over to wordpress and I have even looked at other solutions, but I am such a loyal person. I don't want to move my blog because that is just such a nightmare. The thought of it gives me the chills.

If this problem isn't resolved soon, I'll have to find another solution......here's hoping that it won't be necessary.

You're only as old as you feel

I don't want to start boring you with all the reunion stories, but I had so much fun. Another amazing aspect of the reunion made me realize that when I was 18, I considered a 38 year old as an old person. But, now here I am. THIRTY EIGHT YEARS OLD, but I don't feel old. I still feel 18. Ok, maybe not 18, but closer to 28!!!

I had the perfect opportunity to just snap away and what I found amazing was the fact that the ladies at the reunion looked so smashing. I am not saying the guys didn't look good, but let's just say that Father Time looked after some of the ladies very well!!!!

Maybe I was just lucky to be in a class full of beautiful people, let me show you what I mean...

oh, and then of course, I shouldn't forget about Mr Lesotho and Mr Brut(in the middle - dancing)

The best part of the weekend happened on Saturday night when almost everyone went onto the dancefloor and made a big circle and everyone danced together. That was when I knew this was a huge success!!!

Thank you to all who attended. Thank you for traveling so far to spend a weekend with us. Thank you for all your kind words and thank you for coming with such a positive attitude. It made all the nights of little sleep worth it.

See you at the next one!!!!
